A non-chlorinated solvent used for pre-cleaning and for removing excess surface penetrant with the wipe-off technique. It serves a different function from the penetrant and developer.
Where Ardrox 9PR5 fits in the inspection process
Pre-cleaning and excess penetrant removal. For excess penetrant removal, use the specified wipe-off technique. Do not treat removal of background as permission to flush penetrant from the discontinuities being inspected.
