Product selection
Consider the form material, wet-pack or dry-pack process, application method, ambient temperature and required surface finish. Choose between mineral-oil, mineral/vegetable-oil, vegetable-oil and water-based formulations.
For coating or painting requirements, review the release fluid and finished surface with your QA technical professional.

Release-fluid range
Mineral & vegetable oil based
A mineral- and vegetable-oil blend with a parting agent that forms a soap film between the form and concrete for clean release. Rust inhibitors help protect steel forms during storage, while the formulation helps reduce buildup and staining.
Typical applications: Concrete molds and steel forms; clean release and storage rust protection.
Product availability and pricingMineral oil based
A mineral-oil release agent with wetting and parting additives for concrete product manufacturing. Designed for easy release and rust protection on metal forms, with low-temperature sprayability.
Typical applications: Concrete product manufacturing; metal forms and cold-weather spraying.
Product availability and pricingMineral oil based
A premium mineral-oil form fluid with wetting and parting agents for easy concrete release. Provides rust protection on metal forms and low-temperature sprayability to help reduce the need for heating.
Typical applications: Concrete manufacturing; easy release and spray application.
Product availability and pricingVegetable oil based
A vegetable-oil form fluid for wet-pack and dry-pack concrete. Its parting agent creates a nonstick film to help reduce buildup, while rust inhibitors protect metal forms. Light color and low-temperature sprayability support clean application.
Typical applications: Wet-pack and dry-pack concrete; vegetable-based release-fluid selection.
Product availability and pricingWater based
A white, water-based release fluid for precast concrete using metal, plastic, fiberglass or wood forms. Spray or swab onto the form and use immediately or allow it to dry. A thin coating allowed to dry for about one hour helps produce a smooth finish with fewer bugholes and worm tracks.
Typical applications: Wet-pack and dry-pack precast concrete; smooth surfaces and well-filled corners.
Product availability and pricingWater-mixable concentrate
A water-mixable release concentrate for road and roofing asphalt. Helps reduce sticking on rubber-tired rollers, truck beds and equipment, and mixes with hot or cold water without a sticky residue.
Typical applications: Asphalt handling and equipment release; a separate application from concrete forms.
Mixing guide: 1 part concentrate to 10 parts water for general asphalt release; 1 part concentrate to 5 parts water for rollers and truck beds. Do not mix with other emulsions or release agents. This is a release agent, not an asphalt resurfacing emulsion, flux or extender.
