Bakery conveyors & industrial ovens
Heat, load and repeated movement challenge oven conveyor lubrication. Fluid selection should address penetration into chain joints, wear, evaporation and residue that can restrict movement or prevent fresh lubricant from reaching the friction points.
Bakery conveyor systems are a frequent application for our QA oils. Suitable high-temperature ovens in other industries may also benefit, subject to equipment and application review.
Match lubrication to pin, bush and roller contact under load.
Consider evaporation, deposits and the condition of the existing chain.
Review feed rate, application location and solids compatibility.
Choose documented qualifications where incidental food contact is possible.
QA product range
Choose from three QA products. Contact our team for formulation, viscosity, operating-temperature and food-contact details; product names alone do not establish these properties.
Oven conveyor lubricant
A QA option for high-temperature oven lubrication, including bakery oven conveyor systems. Contact QA to match the fluid to your chain, lubrication equipment and operating conditions.

Industrial, synthetic, food-grade and solid-containing formulations. Each serves specific conditions; this is a selection guide, not an equivalency chart.
Synthetic · industrial / NSF H2
Synthetic lubricant for hot roller chains in applications such as fiberglass, rockwool and gypsum ovens. Formulated to limit evaporation and residue while protecting against wear. Summit recommends automatic lubrication.
Availability and pricingFood-grade · white solid lubricants
A synthetic food-grade chain lubricant with white solids for demanding hot-chain service. Applications include transport and plate-carrier chains in bread, tortilla and pizza ovens. Review lubricant delivery and chain temperature with QA.
Availability and pricingPetroleum / synthetic blend · industrial
Blended petroleum and synthetic lubricant for tenter chains and hot oven conveyors. Designed for chain penetration, adhesion and wear protection, with oxidation resistance to reduce gumming and thickening.
Availability and pricingEster-based · NSF H1
Food-grade ester chain oil for drive, control and transport chains in bakery and other food-industry equipment. Low evaporation and deposit formation help support clean high-temperature operation.
Availability and pricingSynthetic · industrial / NSF H2
Synthetic lubricant for hot roller chains, including particleboard and laminate production. Also used for steel belts and heated press platens. Designed for penetration, low evaporation and reduced residue.
Availability and pricingTackified petroleum oil · industrial
Petroleum-based chain lubricant with a tackifier for severe shock loads and demanding environmental conditions. A distinct industrial chain option; review its fit rather than assuming interchangeability with bakery oven lubricants.
Availability and pricingBiosynthetic · food-grade / white graphite
Food-grade biosynthetic lubricant with white graphite for hot conveyor chains, including bakery applications. Agitate before use to distribute the solid lubricant evenly.
Availability and pricingBiosynthetic · food-grade / white graphite
The higher-viscosity option in the EnviroTech CO FG chain-lubricant series. Supports hot-chain lubrication in bakery and selected industrial ovens. Agitate before use to distribute the white graphite.

Application guide
Review actual chain temperature and temperature at the lubrication point, rather than using the oven setpoint alone. An oil flash point is not a continuous operating-temperature rating. Solid-containing products require review of both the liquid carrier and the remaining solid film.
Confirm pump, nozzle, brush or automatic-feed compatibility, flow and application location. Excessive heat at the application point can evaporate the carrier before lubricant reaches the chain joints. Follow the equipment and lubricant suppliers’ recommendations.
For solid-containing formulations, review storage, mixing and feed-system requirements. Summit specifically instructs users to agitate EnviroTech CO FG before use so the white graphite is distributed evenly.
Inspect for restricted joints and deposits. Review the existing lubricant and cleaning procedure before changing products. A new formulation cannot reach the contact surfaces if hardened residue blocks the lubrication path.
Application background: Klüber guidance on oven-chain lubrication.
Food processing applications
Review the exact lubricant and required registration for the application. H1 covers incidental food contact; it does not permit deliberate direct food contact. H2 products are intended for areas where food contact is not permitted. The CO-95 and CO-250 sheets list H2; CO-220 FG lists H1. Summit identifies CO-120 FG Extreme and EnviroTech CO FG as food-grade options. Confirm current documentation and your facility’s requirements with QA.
